And the decision is…

Andrew has been looking for a job for a while now. We always knew his current employment was temporary, so once we came to the last few months of the job, he started reaching out to contacts who could put in a good word for him in other companies. He’d scour LinkedIn for job postings and would send out his resume and a Loom video to recruiters. But for so long, there were no bites. It was a stressful time.

In this process, we decided to throw a wide net to see what doors could be opened to us. Sure, we were good with staying in California, but we were also open to moving our family back to Utah or even to a completely new state. Andrew was able to have some great conversations with sales managers in Utah and also in North Carolina, but still there seemed to be no opportunities in California. There were a few weeks there where we were 95% sure we’d be moving our family across the country. Then suddenly, a few companies in the Inland Empire reached out to him, and Andrew was able to have quite a few successful interviews. Long story short, 2 companies offered him a job: TriPoint Homes and Beazer Homes. Both are fabulous companies that seem to align well with our family priorities. It was a truly difficult decision to make. In the end, it came down to location.

The TriPoint development is in Beaumont (on your way to Palm Springs). The Beazer development they offered Andrew is in South Corona, much more central Riverside County and closer to my family.

We have officially accepted the offer to work for Beazer Homes!!!!!

And we are truly excited. Andrew received the offer while we were at the beach as a family. We discussed the pros and cons of each offer, but in the end I left the final decision up to him. Honestly, it felt like we couldn’t go wrong either way.

I had a moment where I was sitting under the umbrella with baby Harper asleep on my chest. I looked out towards the water to see Andrew and Grace playing together in the waves and Madelyn digging in the sand. I was overwhelmed by how blessed I am. There will still be difficult moments ahead (especially thinking about the stress of selling our home, moving somewhere new, making new friends, and all of that), but I know God’s hand leads our life. Andrew and I have made a beautiful life together and I am excited to continue this journey with him and see what other adventures we have in store for us.
